AEBG Field Teams

The AEBG The California Adult Education Block Grant Office (AEBG) seeks to install a high quality and effective regional delivery of adult education services to support California’s adult learners in meeting their educational and career goals. Community and practitioner input is an important part of the AEBG planning and implementation process beginning with the original AB86 Work Group. The AEBG Office continues its commitment to stakeholder input through the AEBG Field Teams.

In order to clarify key data elements required for AEBG accountability reporting, and to ensure that metrics help to illuminate student progress in adult education programs, the AEBG Office established practitioner committees. The established field teams include the Crosswalk, data and accountability, CTE assessment, and ABE/ASE/ESL assessment committees.

Additional field teams will be established in the coming months. To help achieve its goal, the AEBG Office conducted a recruitment process for applicants to serve on the Adult Education Field Teams. The teams will provide recommendations to the AEBG office on multiple issues to support the implementation and effectiveness of the AEBG program.
