Community College District Boundary and K-12 District Map

This a map of the Community College District Boundaries with all of the K-12 school district offices plotted on the map so you can see which school districts fall into which districts. This map does not include the school district boundary overlay. Also, the map shows all schools districts in the State, including elementary school districts. Instructions for use:

  1. There are 3 tabs near the upper left-hand corner About, Content and Legend. Click on Content and right below this tab Contents is displayed.
  2. In Contents you will see 5 layers; (CDE_K_12, Non Districts, CoastalAreas, CCD_LegalBoundaries and Topographic) click on the table icon under the  CDE_K_12 layer.
    Table Icon = Table
    Legend Icon = Legend of the individual layer
    Style Icon = Style (changes the color or look of the map for the individual viewing only. Cancel to exit)
    Transparency and Zoom = Transparency and Zoom
  3. The table will appear at the bottom of the map. In the Table left click Name and choose sort in ascending order. From here select your school district in the table, the dot (school district) will be highlighted on the map with an aqua box, click on the dot that is highlighted the popup window will appear with the name of the K12 District then click the arrow in upper right-hand corner of the popup window and the CC District name will be displayed.

*Note to zoom in or out on the map, click in the map area and scroll using the wheel on your mouse or use the “+” and “-“ buttons on the top left of the map window.

**Note in order to see the highlighted dot, be sure the area of California in which your district is located is showing on the map window, the map window will not automatically move to show your highlighted district. Also, you may need to zoom into the map in order to click on the highlighted dot.

***Note that some organizations may have restrictions on internet settings for security purposes that might prevent you from being able to use this tool. If you are having trouble viewing this tool, please contact your organization’s IT department.
